The experience of reconnecting in person at Smartsheet’s ENGAGE 2022 customer conference was simply unbeatable! Several of our Global PMO Partners (GPMO) team members were privileged to attend the conference together. Next year, we are eagerly looking forward to our entire GPMO team joining in, engaging, and evolving together!

DAY 1 was a day dedicated to the Smartsheet Channel Partner network, graced by a full-day Partner Summit. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet and greet many other partners whom we've engaged with virtually over the past two years. The commitment of global Smartsheet partners traveling all the way from the UK and Germany was particularly impressive. This summit was a great avenue to glean insights into the upcoming product roadmap and to prepare partners for the delivery of new features and functionalities to our mutual clients. A big shout out to the Channel Partner team for hosting such a stellar, partner-focused event!

DAY 2 came to life with an exciting start. As a sponsor of McLaren Formula 1 Racing, Smartsheet proudly displayed the racecar in the booth area. However, the highlight was the dynamic partnership discussion between Smartsheet’s CEO, Mark Mader, and McLaren Racing’s CEO, Zak Brown. They showcased not just Smartsheet’s sponsorship, but also how McLaren uses Smartsheet to drive their own results.

As we navigated through the engaging breakouts, main sessions, and networking events up to DAY 4, we found ourselves reminiscing about Michelle's own 12-year journey with Smartsheet. From being a client twice, to an internal consultant, then leading Salesforce’s HR PMO powered by Smartsheet, this journey eventually led to the founding of Global PMO Partners.

Michelle's key reflections:Being the first internal consultant at Smartsheet to beta test the Smartsheet Control Center and lead its initial implementations and training, it was nostalgic to listen and learn from clients who have greatly benefited from not just Control Center, but also its continuous evolution. The Control Center truly empowers PMOs and Project Managers to scale, boost efficiency, and focus on the tasks they were hired to do!The past year saw Control Center enhance its integration with Smartsheet’s Resource Management platform, creating a powerful combination. The big announcement at ENGAGE was the next-gen Control Center capability, which leverages the power of Control Center and Work Apps to create Portfolio Work Apps!One of the most special moments during the week was the privilege of having four of our GPMO clients attending ENGAGE, with one even speaking at one of the breakout sessions (thanks, Evan!). These clients are driving powerful initiatives within their organizations, whether it's creating and expanding their IT/Enterprise PMOs or driving Operational Efficiency & Collaboration for their Learning & Development services.
